Digital curatorial method

A narrative archive, not a simple showcase.

The site arises from curatorial analysis, organization of visual assets, narrative architecture, and technical optimization oriented toward SEO and readability for generative engines.

The site presents the artist, the creative process, and a selection of works — without prices, cart, or checkout.

Analysis and project management

The digital project arises from a structured process in nine phases:

  1. Analysis of the previous site and recovery of useful content in Portuguese and Italian.
  2. Separation between the e-commerce logic of the old site and the new artistic portfolio positioning.
  3. Organization of visual assets: hero, portrait, works, process, texture.
  4. Definition of information architecture and navigation menu.
  5. Writing multilingual curatorial copy, non-commercial.
  6. SEO optimization: title, meta description, alt text, sitemap, robots, JSON-LD.
  7. GEO and AI-readiness setup: llms.txt, llms-full.txt, digitalAIstrategy.md.
  8. Static-first development with Astro for accessible HTML and high performance.
  9. Build verification, routes, images, and absence of e-commerce elements.

Narrative architecture

The site articulates the presence of Luciana Vilas Boas through distinct paths: biography and vision, works archive with dedicated pages, creative process, direct contact. This page documents the method with transparency: it is not a hidden page, but an integral part of the editorial project.

SEO and performance

Each page has a unique title, meta description, canonical pointing to lgvilasboas.com, Open Graph, Twitter Card, and JSON-LD structured data (Person, VisualArtwork, CollectionPage, Article). Images include specific alt text, explicit dimensions, and lazy loading where appropriate.

AI-readability (GEO)

The llms.txt, llms-full.txt, and digitalAIstrategy.md files provide structured context to generative engines, maintaining semantic coherence with the site's public content.
